This past weekend, I visited New York City with one of my best friends since childhood, Pearl. With just 48 hours in New York, our trip was short but sweet. We packed in as much as possible, but managed to check everything off our list!
I often stress over what to wear when exploring a new city, putting pressure on myself to pack and put together “the perfect outfit”. This time, I kept it simple with my go-to looks: a classic combo of jeans and a tee topped with a chic coat during the day, and for the evening, I switched to a blazer with jeans, paired with boots or kitten heels.

Night 1:

Day 2:
As afraid as I am to admit it, I mixed and matched/re-wore a lot of the same pieces for different outfits throughout the weekend. But I guess that’s what happens when you try to pack light!

Night 2:

Day 3 (Before the Airport):
Shopping:
While in New York, I did a lot of window shopping and visited some of my favorite brands that I usually only see online.
One store I was particularly excited to check out was Sézane. I came across this gorgeous pouch that I didn’t buy, but I’m considering treating myself to it as an early birthday gift!

If there is a Dôen nearby, you can count on me to be there. I had to stop by their location in the West Village.

I’d heard amazing things about Still Here Denim, but I’d only seen their pieces online, so I had to swing by their store in Soho:

I’d heard fantastic things about The Vintage Twin as well, so I had to check it out—and I’m so glad I did! I discovered some amazing pieces there.
Where I ate:
We started off the trip with a great lunch at Sant Ambroeus in Soho:
Dinner night 1: Misirizzi
Breakfast/Lunch Day 2:
While in New York, grabbing a bagel is a must!
Dinner Night 2:
For our final evening in NYC, we went to American Bar and it exceeded our expectations! Food and service was incredible.
If you are planning a visit NYC soon, I hope this gives you some inspiration on where to go! As always, thank you for being here.
xx Kelly
