48 Hours in NYC
A short but very sweet weekend of shopping, good food, and even better company.
Writing this while on my way back to Chicago and wanted to share a little recap of the past weekend in New York. This city is so special to me, I truly just love it. I spent the weekend with my best friend Bridget — we live in different cities and wanted to celebrate our November birthdays together, and there’s really no better place to do it than New York. Between shopping, good food, and even better company, it was the perfect weekend.
Let’s recap, shall we?
What I Wore:
Day 1 outfit for traveling and then a day of shopping in the city to kick off the trip.

An all-black look for drinks and a night out:

Day 2 look:

What I saw:
It wouldn’t be a trip to New York without popping into a few vintage shops. Our first stop was Desert Vintage, and it set the bar high.
Naturally, a stop at Dôen in the West Village was a must…

Had to make it a point to visit the Lauren Manoogian store and play dress-up. Still can’t stop thinking about this coat…

If you haven’t tried a LESET Pointelle set, I can’t recommend them enough. Perfect for travel or lounging, while still feeling put-together and chic. The Pointelle tee is so cute layered under a sweater or worn on its own during warmer months. I was excited to hear they are currently offering 30% off, so I picked up the Pointelle tee to complete my set.

Our Stay:
We stayed at Nine Orchard on the Lower East Side and I couldn’t recommend it more. Everything from the interiors to the service and the food was incredible. The bedside cookie each night was honestly the highlight of our trip.
We met a friend for Saturday night drinks at Swan Bar, and the vibes were incredible.
More from our trip on my Instagram and Tik Tok.
And that’s a wrap! Back home we go. See you soon NYC.
xx Kelly
